As event organizers move forward with plans for the 30th anniversary of the Stuart Air Show, the mission of the organization is more relevant now than ever before: Celebrating aviation by honoring its past and inspiring its future.
We are continuing our 30th anniversary celebration by talking with the people who have helped make the Stuart Air Show what it is today! We sat down to talk with Elisabeth Glynn, current volunteer and former Executive Director for the 2014 and 2015 air shows.
We are continuing our 30th Anniversary Retrospective by talking with Chris Jones, the Principal of JD Parker Elementary. Last year, over 300 of their students came to the Audi Stuart Air Show on Friday afternoon. They got to meet the pilots, tour static aircraft, and watch the performers’ practice runs before we opened the 2018 show!
We are continuing our 30th Anniversary Retrospective by talking with one of our past Events Coordinators, Desiree Bonnie. Desiree held the Events Coordinator position, now know as the Executive Director, from 2010 to 2015. After passing the torch to her successor, she has continued to support the air show by volunteering and serving on our Board of Directors.
As we look back over the past 30 years through our video retrospective series, what we continually are finding is that being a part of the Stuart Air Show is often a family affair. This week’s interview is a perfect example of this family bond that is shared at the air show. Today we talk with Don McGlynn, son of Walter McGlynn, who we interviewed last week.
We spoke with some of our sponsors of the 2018 Stuart Air Show who have been supporting us for some time now. We hear from Mary Skinner of the Marketing at Conchy Joe's Seafood & The Dolphin Bar and Shrimp House, Tina Farrior from Merchant Lynx, Devin Carlson the General Manager at Audi Stuart, Bob Voeller from the YMCA of the Treasure Coast, and Doug Sherman from Bank of America
We are celebrating 30 years of the Stuart Air Show by talking with the people who know it the best. Today we sit down with Renée Allen, our volunteer in charge of Pilot Hospitality. Renée shares with us that she began going to the air show with her father when she was a young girl.
