We are continuing our 30th Anniversary Retrospective by talking with Chris Jones, the Principal of JD Parker Elementary. We have had the pleasure of working with JD Parker last year, when over 600 of their students came to the Audi Stuart Air Show on Friday afternoon. They got to meet the pilots, tour static aircraft, and watch the performers’ practice runs before we opened the 2018 show!
We are so delighted to be able to offer this once-in-a-lifetime experience to these amazing children in our community.
And for our 2019 show, we are excited to be able to offer an extra-special experience to the JD Parker students on Friday, but also to all the kids who come to the air show! This year we are introducing a S.T.E.A.M. World tent. Perfect for children grades K-10, this tent will focus on aviation and flight related topics. There will be a table for each S.T.E.A.M. letter (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics), with hands on activities for different age groups. Activities will include things like DNA extraction/building DNA Strand (bird egg), Virtual Reality Experiences (in flight), flying a Drone, coding an assembled robotic airplane to move and make sounds, testing paper airplanes, creating the Weather Cycle (within a biodome to take home), building and launching rockets, and solar cooking experiments.
General Admission ticket required. Get your general admission tickets now while they are just HALF PRICE! Ticket prices increase on August 1st.
S.T.E.A.M. World is sponsored by Dunn Capital and All About Achieving Learning Centers.
